hp officejet pro 8610 installing network printer stuck

I have scoured the forums although none of the solutions offered have worked so far. I am not sure how these features where locked, which I never did. I happened to change my wifi information and cannot do these changes on the printer since the features are locked on the printer itself. It appears as though the drivers are incompatible with this new version of windows which has left me with a rather large and heavy paper weight. Hi, I am having trouble resetting my HP Office Jet Pro 8610 printer. Touch Print Reports, and then touch Network Configuration Page. On the printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon, and then touch the Settings icon. did the same but used the HP print and scan doctor. Here are things I have done which have not been successful: The closest I can get is the 'Fax' component of the printer appears to install although it says 'Driver unavailable' and the printer cannot be found in any printing software (word, notepad etc.). Finally, when attempting a wired connection where it is plugged into the router, the installation is exactly the same as the wireless and times out. When attempting to connect wirelessly the driver software finds the printer but will not complete install (installation status times out eventually). I have tried to connect via USB but my computer has no USB 2.0 ports, only USB 3.0 and 3.1, so this fails every time.

I have been trying to install my 8610 printer on a fresh windows install and NOTHING is working.
